I’ll admit that I wasn’t a huge fan of the original DTB, but I do think it had an interesting concept, and I have to say I was a bit let down by the second season. I think Gemini of the Meteor is a perfect example of what I’ll call a “People Pleaser, Movie [...]

One of my all-time personal favorites, Ookiku Furikabutte (Oofuri) or for the American release, Big Windup! has been green-lit for a second season. The second season, based on the Kodansha Award-winning manga by Asa Higuchi, should be airing in Spring of 2010, according to the wrap-around jackets on the latest tankouban of the manga.

So, I’m glad to say things picked up a bit, or just got back on track in this episode. For instance, we finally discover just what the heck is up with out little Hichikuji snail…cow…. We also find out a couple revealing things about the other characters- namely that everyone has family issues sometimes (I [...]

After last episode, even though a hint of plot showed at the very (and I mean very) end, I was wondering exactly what would happen with this episode. Turns out it’s a good time for all- getting lost with lost girls, more child abuse, and snide comments abound.

Ok, this is a bit late in coming, but I just watched the third episode, and, while I wasn’t let down per se, I was definitely underwhelmed.

The episode continues with Araragi and Senjogahara (it’d be a waste of perfectly good fanservice to get rid of her, and thus I will for now on refer to [...]
