    (Micro)Review
I really enjoyed the first season of this series and had similar expectations for the 2nd. Although I did enjoy “The Sword of Uruk”, it fell short in many area’s. The loss of great characters like Ahmey & Kally were not replaced by quality new characters.  The stories for new/side characters were limited (Henaro, Gremica) although I guess this is to be expected for a 12 episode series. The story was too simular to season one, and didn’t even have any epic battles with big dragons, Druaga, or any other evil enemies of the same calibur. The animation is still nothing spectacular and the the majority of the tower monsters look like rejects from Clayfighter. I think I dragged finishing this anime out as I simply couldn’t get into it like I did the first one. However, there are still certain scenes in this season that I loved and made it worth watching so I’m giving Sword of Uruk 6/10 stars.

Overall I wasn’t impressed with the second season compared to the first – The Aegis of Uruk. However if you were a fan of the first season then the “Sword of Uruk” is definitely worth a watch. It’s another short season comprised of only 12 episodes.
