Sort of a lame episode.  For some weird reason, the gang goes to the pool in the winter for a “break” from studies.  It’s just a lame excuse for some fan service.  Obviously everyone is there, like Nagi, Kotone and Akari, who “happens” to be taking a break as well.  Anyways, Junpei’s happy because there’s supposed to be no cats in the the pool.  Don’t speak too soon, since there’s a cat stuck inside because it wanted a drink of water but then wasn’t able to go back outside.  Kanako sees him talking to the cat and he tries to cover it up as usual, but then asks to help him get the cat out of the pool.  As a result of standing outside, Junpei gets sick.  Kanako gets super keen on bringing the school notes to his house but does it in a very tsundere way.  Then she ends up buying groceries too so that she can make him congee.  Even though he’s sick he has to help out the cat next door because he’s all bummed because his owner is putting him on a strict diet because he’s fat.  He tries to get Junpei to talk to the neighbour so he can eat a lot again.  He tells him to actually go on diet since he is really fat, but then the cat tells him that he’s going to run away because it’ll be better than being on a strict diet.  Junpei gets pissed and yells at the cat that the owner is only doing that because he cares.  Then he tells him do whatever he wants.  Apparently that helped because he now understands.  Well right after though, he yells at the cat he comes back in but because he’s sick it wasn’t good for him to stay outside for that long.  He faints and when Kanako walks in, he’s flat on the floor.  She puts him on the couch and she’s about to steal a kiss from him (a common scene, I don’t think this almost ever happens) then remembers his comment when  she first came (”Why are YOU here?”) obviously meaning he wanted Kaede to come.  She then leaves and while walking she gets a text from Junpei telling her thanks.  As she receives this, she says why don’t you realize it already.  The girls (Mom and sister) get home and notice the dishes and know it’s congee.  They know that Junpei didn’t make it since everything is cleaned up.  The sister wonders if it’s either Kotone and Akari but the mom knows it’s another girl, because of her mother instincts.  Junpei goes to school the next day to take his exams and is all friendly with Kaede as Kanako watches this.  At the end, she comments that she wishes she never realized she liked Junpei.
