The story of the Uchiha clan continues as Madara Uchiha continues to assault his clan member Sasuke’s mind with the true history of Itachi and the night the Uchiha clan was slaughtered. The Uchiha clan was plotting a coup d’etat. The story as told by Madara leaves Sasuke at a loss for words. Because of his gifted talent, Itachi was forced to suffer, torn between his loyalties to the Leaf Village and the Uchiha clan.
Madara continues by informing Sasuke that Itachi was a double-agent who was assigned to leak intel on the Uchiha back to the village. He then contacted Madara to help him undertake his mission of exterminating the Uchiha clan. They pulled off their mission, except Itachi just couldn’t kill Sasuke. Some time later, Sasuke reminisces on Itachi’s final words to him, before breaking down into tears. He then changes his team name to Taka and declares, with his new Mangekyo Sharingan, that their goal is to destroy Konoha.
