The official website of the Macross Frontier anime series has confirmed that there will be two theatrical Macross Frontier films. The first film – Macross Frontier the Movie: The False Songstress – will open in Japan on November 21. This movie is basically a condensed version of the latest Macross series (2008) and promises to include some kick ass new footage.

The second film is based on Shoji Kawamori and Studio Nue’s latest sequel in the Macross science-fiction romance franchise and will include completely new music and animation.
